We went over Laplace transforms. Please do homework from sections 6.1 and 6.2. We'll finish 6.2 on Wednesday.

We heard reports and went over sections 5.2 and 5.3.
Do homework through section 5.3.

Class 16, Wed., March 3, 2010
We went over sections 5.1 and some of 5.2. Do homework through section 5.2.

I have not found a substitute for Monday, so there will be no class on Monday, I'll see you on Wednesday. Please turn in homework for chapter 4 on Wednesday.

We went over section 4.3. Do homework thru 4.3. We will skip 4.4 for the time being and start on 5.1 on Wednesday.

We had exam 2 and went over chapter 4.2. Do homework thru 4.2.

We delayed the second exam till Wednesday, Feb. 24.
Turn in chapter 3 homework on Wednesday.
We went over sections 3.6, 3.8, and began 4.1. The exam will cover through the end of chapter 3, beginning where exam 1 ended, in section 2.2.
I'll add some homework for chapter 3.8 shortly.

The American Math Assoc. for Two Year Colleges contest exam is being given on Friday, Feb. 19, from 2:30-3:30 PM. Here is a site with old contest problems.

Here is the quiz from Wednesday. Please complete to turn in Monday. Please rewrite if your attempt on Wednesday was unreadable!

We went over section 3.7. The exam Monday will go through section 3.7. Do homework through section 3.7.

We went over the rest of section 3.4 and also section 3.5. Do homework for sections 3.5 and 3.6. Section 3.6 is mostly applications of the material in the previous chapter 3 sections. We'll go over it very quickly next week.

We also went over eigenvalues and eigenvectors, the long term behavior of solutions of two equations, and part of section 3.4 on complex eigenvalues.
Do homework for sections 3.3 and 3.4.
