Goals: After completing Lesson 3, you should be able to:

  • understand and use the terminology of probability.
  • determine whether two events are mutually exclusive or independent.
  • calculate probabilities using the Addition Rules and Multiplication Rules.
  • construct and use Contingency Tables.
